2.12. .htaccess

.htaccess is the local configuration file for the Apache web server. It is a simple text file containing standard Apache directives. It allows you to configure web server settings for individual directories. The action of the directives contained in the file applies to all files and subdirectories located in the same directory with it. Subdirectories can contain their own .htaccess files. Their directives supplement or override directives from similar files located in parent directories.
